quite a lot of singaporeans in singapore just don't know or have the word "courtesy" in their vocabulary. let me ask you something, won't you feel hurt when someone asks you for help, and you help that person out, but in the end, not even a "Thanks" is said? they just take you for granted, and expect you to be their slave.
i try my very best to say thank you to everyone who has helped me. until a certain point, i say thank you to people i have helped even. haha. its weird.
but at least in my work place, 90% of the customers put on a smile and when i serve them, they say thanks. basic courtesy. at least ill have the motivation to serve them better and cater to their craving needs. if i serve them a glass of water, and they don't say thanks, i wont even bother asking them what sauce they want to go with their fries or whatever. but if they do, ill bother asking them, would you like tar tar or mayo to go with your say onion rings for example.
well i just stated my point a lot of times. so please, i urge all readers of this blog. PLEASE. just say a thank you. just this magic word, you would never know, might just make someone's day.
